Reclaimed Water Master Plan Update Presentation.
Summary
Staff will present proposed strategies for the Reclaimed Water Master Plan. Over the course of the past two years, the City has committed significant time and resources evaluating how to best provide water resources and wastewater services as we grow to a population ultimately exceeding 200,000 people. A key component to the City's future water supply will most assuredly be reclaimed water. Reclaimed water can be a very reliable source of water for manufacturing products, systems cooling, irrigation, and other uses.
Status
DCS Engineering was selected to develop the Reclaimed Water Master Plan because of the company's understanding of our wastewater system, their work planning an initial reclaimed water project for the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC), and their original work on reclaimed water in our previous Wastewater Master Plan.
Prior City Council Action
A professional services agreement was approved by the City Council on June 11, 2013 for completion of the master plan.
