Title

Discussion regarding a grant application to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Alternative Fueling Facilities Program to upgrade and/or replace eight existing electric vehicle charging stations.

Summary

This item has been included on the agenda to allow for discussion. The City of Pflugerville has four existing electronic vehicle charging stations located at the Pflugerville Public Library and four stations located at Stone Hill Town Center on Hill Top Commercial Drive near the movie theater. Upgrade and/or replacement is needed if the City wishes to continue to provide the electric vehicle charging stations as their performance has proven unreliable. If the City would like to continue to provide the electric vehicle charging stations, staff recommends to seek funds in the amount of $20,804, from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Alternative Fueling Facilities Program, for upgrade and/or replacement of the eight electric vehicle charging stations. The charging stations would be on a five-year lease and include maintenance. The City's matching funds would be $13,756.
