Discuss major policy recommendations associated with the development of the Master Transportation Plan update.
Summary
Brown and Gay Engineers Inc. was selected by the City to update the City's Master Transportation Plan element of the Comprehensive Plan. Through this effort several policy related items have been introduced. Staff will present preliminary recommendations for discussion and direction regarding financing, transit and bicycle components related to transportation policy for discussion with the City Council.
Prior City Council Action
The current Thoroughfare Plan was adopted as an element within the Pflugerville 2030 Comprehensive Plan in 2010.
Deadline for City Council Action
No specific action is being requested at this time.
Projected Future City Council Action
Adoption of the plan will be scheduled following the recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission this spring.
