Title
Approving a resolution to authorize publication of notice, preparation of service plan and adoption of a schedule for annexation of two separate tracts of land owned by the City of Pflugerville consisting of 9.91 acres within the Villages of Hidden Lakes, located in the Gene M. Martin Survey No. 9, Abstract 529 in Travis County, Texas.

Summary
The City of Pflugerville owns several tracts within the Northeast Travis County Utility District, which generally consists of the Villages of Hidden Lake subdivision. Two of these parcels are contiguous to the current city limits of Pflugerville and because they have city owned and maintained facilities, staff recommends that they be annexed into the city for full purposes. Tract 1 is located along the northeastern perimeter of Lake Pflugerville and extends north along Silent Harbor Loop. The developer recently completed improvements to a portion of this property consistent with the Settlement and Agreement of Sale agreement in 2010. Tract 2 is located on the west side of Weiss Lane, near the Hidden Lake Crossing intersection. A lift station is located on the parcel.

The annexation of these tracts extends the purview of the City's police department to these locations and mitigates any confusion regarding the enforcement of municipal ordinances applicable to them.

Status
The board of the Northeast Travis County Utility District consented to the City's annexation of the subject tracts on July 30, 2012. The parcels will continue to remain within the boundary of the district, as the action does not modify the district boundary.

Deadline for City Council Action
August 14, 2012 in order to maintain the project schedule.

Projected Future City Council Action
Two public hearings are required, and are scheduled for October 9 and 23, 2012.

Fiscal Impact
The fiscal impact of this annexation is nominal since the City already owns and maintains the property and associated improvements.
