Approving the appointment of Trey Fletcher as Assistant City Manager.

 

Summary

Section 4.06 of the City Charter specifies that the City Manager shall appoint the head of each administrative department, subject to the approval of the City Council.  Mr.Fletcher was promoted from Planning Director to Managing Director of Operations to oversee Building, Engineering, Library, Parks and Recreation, Planning and Public Works Departments on June 13, 2010.  Mr. Fletcher also serves as the Acting City Manager by appointment made by resolution on July 26, 2011.   

 

Deadline for City Council Action

Action is requested on September 27, 2011.

 

Fiscal Impact

The Fiscal Year 2012 budget includes the promotion of Mr. Fletcher to Assistant City Manager.
