Summary
This project provides for pavement maintenance and overlay including milling, overlay and pavement repair on Heatherwilde Boulevard between Pfennig Lane and Black Locust Drive.
K. Friese, the project's design engineer, completed design work for this project in August.
Status
The project was advertised for bids on August 27, 2014 and September 3, 2014 in the Pflugerville Pflag's legal notices. Four (4) bids were received and opened on September 11, 2014. Attached to this item is a list of the bids received.
Deadline for City Council Action
Staff is requesting approval on September 23, 2014.
Fiscal Impact
This project is included in the approved 2014 General Fund budget in the Overlay line item in the Streets Department budget.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of this item authorizing the City Manager to execute a construction contract with Alpha Paving Industries, LLC, the lowest responsive bidder, for $241,664.00.
