Title

Approving a reconciliation agreement and final payment from Lakeside WCID 1, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

Summary

As part of the final termination of our Professional Services Agreement with Lakeside WCID # 1 that provided retail operational services for their water and wastewater systems, both parties agreed that the District would reimburse the City for costs associated with operating their water and wastewater systems during the transition to a private provider.  This cost was calculated based upon the previously approved rates and fees that were approved by City Council before the District decided to move to a private retail provider.  After final reconciliation of the services provided to the District during the transition, City staff calculated that the District owed the City $49,060.35 for services rendered.  With the approval of this agreement, it will also reconcile all water and wastewater accounts within the District for payments not collected by the City during the transition as well.
