Summary
This ordinance was drafted by the City Attorney at the request of Councilmember Victor Gonzales in response to a request made by Jesse Sepeda to address concerns associated with the storage of construction equipment near roadways. The ordinance complements the Resolution (1248-10-04-27-7A) passed by the City Council earlier this year directing the City Manager to integrate policies of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Devices (TxMUTCD), Part 6 into the Capital Improvement Program guidelines and into the requirements it places upon others who utilize the City's right-of-way for temporary construction activity . The Police Chief has noted concerns regarding enforcement of the ordinance.
