Discuss and consider action to approve an agreement with Oradat and Associates for consulting services in an amount not to exceed $165,000 and authorizing the City Manager to execute same.
Summary
Mr. Gary Oradat has been advising the city on various water issues regarding the provision of water utilities to the City of Pflugerville since summer 2012 first as an employee of Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam, Inc. (LAN) and beginning in December of 2012 directly with the City. He is the former executive director of the Coastal Water Authority and is very familiar with State of Texas staff and the individuals and companies that are involved with the provision of water in the central Texas area and throughout the state. As the City continues to move forward on long term strategic issues relating directly to water and wastewater, staff feels that Mr. Oradat provides expertise and value to this process. Attached to this agenda item are Mr. Oradat's monthly reports from October 2012 through August 2013.
Mr. Oradat states that the amount of $165,000 will fund twelve months of consulting services, beginning October 1, 2013. Current status of the payments from the City to Mr. Oradat is available on the Consulting Services report that will be distributed to the Council at the September 24, 2013 City Council meeting.

Fiscal Impact
The funds for this agreement will be spent from the Regional W/WW planning fee category in the Water Utility fund.
