Title
Discuss and consider action to approve an agreement with Studio 16:19 LLC in the amount of $115,447.00 for professional services associated with the preliminary design and environmental analysis for the Highland Park North Park Development project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement.
Summary
The project includes development of 105 acres adjacent to the MOKAN Right of Way; and will be divided into two parts - "Part 1 - Preliminary Design Report" for master planning scope refinement, conceptual design, and opinion of probable construction costs verification and "Part 2 - Final Design & Construction."
The consultant will work with the City and other regulatory entities to achieve an efficient and acceptable implementation of the project that is in the spirit of the existing park Master Plan.
Professional consulting services include but are not limited to landscape architecture, park planning, civil engineering, environmental consulting, public engagement, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, MEP engineering and surveying for the Highland Park/ Highland Park North project.
This agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney.
Prior City Council Action
Studio 16:19 LLC was selected as the most qualified firm for this project at the April 14, 2015 City Council meeting.
Fiscal Impact
Project funding was approved as part of the November 2014 General Obligation Bond.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the agreement.
