Summary
The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting an amendment to the City’s Code of Ordinances to implement temporary restrictions on on-street parking in areas adjacent to or within special event locations. Currently, the department lacks the authority to enforce parking prohibitions in these areas, which can lead to public safety concerns during events. The proposed update would grant City staff the ability to enforce these temporary parking restrictions, enhancing public safety and ensuring better traffic management during special events.
