Summary
The City is amending Chapter 72 of our Code of Ordinances specifically relating to stop signs on public streets by adding new stop signs and modifying certain existing signs due to misspelling or error in jurisdiction. This is an update to our ordinance to be in compliance with State Law in order to enforce stop sign violations on city streets. A list of the stop sign additions and modifications, vicinity map and the proposed ordinance are attached.
The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the ordinance as to form.
Status
Chapter 72 Schedule III regarding the installation of stop signs on city streets was last amended by City Council on September 9, 2014. This ordinance was approved on first reading on February 10, 2015.
