Authorize the city manager to execute an agreement with Striker Communications for sponsorship recruitment for city special events and sponsorships.
Summary
The City of Pflugerville has selected Striker Communications as the recommended sponsorship recruitment firm to solicit, maintain, and service sponsors for City of Pflugerville events (Pfall Chili Pfest & Pfirecracker Pfestival). The firm will work on commission in a three-year contract to secure sponsors and maximize Pflugerville's event sponsorship potential. Additional sponsorships for city facilities and additional programs and events may be considered.
The selected firm would work closely with the PIO, Terri Waggoner, and Web and Events Coordinator, Kathy Ellis, to solidify event sponsorship tiers, confirm what companies to approach for sponsorship, provide sponsorship support and retention, and work on the city’s special event team.

Fiscal Impact
Sponsorships would reduce the cost of special events to the city. Payment to the sponsorship recruitment firm is based upon a percentage of sponsorships received.
Staff Recommendation
Approve contract with Striker Communications to help the city maximize sponsorship revenues for special events and provide additional assistance to service sponsorships for the city.
