The Councilmember Information Access Policy establishes a clear framework for elected officials to request City information.
Pflugerville is a home-rule city operating under a council-manager form of government. In this structure, City Council enacts local legislation and determines city policy. The city manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the city and directs the implementation of policies set by council by assigning duties to municipal staff.
This Policy defines proper communication channels and establishes staff response protocols to ensure transparency, preserve operational efficiency, respect staff roles, support informed decision-making and uphold professional management practices.
