Summary
The Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project requires property acquisition, including the acquisition of a temporary construction easement necessary to construct the project. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with Robin Weiss Faulk, Trustee of the Robin Weiss Faulk Trust, Jackie Weiss Porter, Trustee of the Jackie Weiss Porter Trust, Randy Charles Weiss, Trustee of the Randy Charles Weiss Fund, as created by the Last Will and Testament of Don Lee Weiss, for the necessary temporary construction easement for Parcel Nos. 64C and 67A. The cost of $227,279.00 was agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on appraisals obtained by the City.

Easement acquisitions for the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project include a total of sixty (60) easements within parcels along the fifteen (15) mile project. Seventeen (17) parcels have been signed by property owners and pending processing to be submitted for Council approval.
Staff continues bi-weekly coordination meetings with the property acquisition agent, in addition to hosting monthly coordination meetings with the design consultants for the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line Project.

Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute the temporary construction easements and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.
