Approving a resolution rejecting all bids received for the Pecan Street and Dessau Road Displaced Left Turn Intersection Project.

Summary
The City of Pflugerville opened bids for the Pecan Street and Dessau Road Displaced Left Turn Intersection Project on January 8, 2021 at 2 pm. Notices were posted in the Pflugerville Pflag as required on November 11, 2020 and November 18, 2020. The plan for rebidding the project includes coordination with TxDOT and the Design Engineer related to the requirement for general contractors being precertified. TxDOT requires precertification of contractors as part of the construction bid package and City staff has planned to increase awareness of the project prior to rebidding to an audience of TxDOT precertified contractors in order to obtain more competitive bids for the work as proposed on the Displaced Left Turn intersection improvements.

Due to the fact that the one bidder w...
