Summary
Wittig Holding LLC, the current contractor for Right-of-Way (ROW) and drainage mowing services, has submitted a 30-day notice indicating they are unable to fulfill the remainder of their contract obligations.To ensure exigent continuity of service, Earth Works, who currently holds the City’s citywide mowing contract has agreed to assume ROW and drainage mowing responsibilities through the end of October 31 2026. Earth Works will complete this work at their original bid pricing that they initially submitted for the ROW and drainage contract.The existing ROW and drainage mowing contract has a not-to-exceed amount of $152,281.50, with a current remaining balance of $145,242.55.Under this agreement, Earth Works will complete: 12 cycles of ROW mowing, and 6 cycles of drainage mowing.The total cost to complete this work is $132,554.40, resulting in a remaining balance of $12,688.15.This transition will not require additional funding and is projected to result in a cost savings of $12,688.15 by the end of the fiscal year.This item is supported by the services pillar of the Strategic Plan.
