Discuss and consider action to approve the appointment of Tracy Waldron as Finance Director.
Summary
The City Charter, Section 4.06, requires that the City Manager shall appoint the head of each administrative department, subject to the approval of the city council.
Tracy comes to the City of Pflugerville with more than 30 years of finance and accounting experience. Most recently, Tracy has served the City of Bastrop, Texas as their Chief Financial Officer for the past 8 years and as their Assistant Finance Director for 3 years prior. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas and is a Certified Government Financial Officer, Certified Public Manager and Certified Purchasing Professional. We believe, given her extensive experience in municipal finance in Central Texas and her commitment to growing and developing future leaders, that Tracy will make a significant positive impact on our organization and in our community. We ask for City Council's support in approving her appointment as our Finance Director.
