Summary
Pflugerville celebrates its 50th (Pfiftieth) birthday on July 24, 2015 as we celebrate 50 years as an incorporated city. Plans are underway to make it a year-long celebration with components of 1965 incorporated into our city events and festivals. A historical display, participation in the Celebrate Texas Parade in Austin, a 1965 Music in the Park, a Juneteenth celebration recognizing events of 1965 and educational kiosks are part of the celebration. The city surveyed residents to find out how they wanted to celebrate 50 years with more than 200 responses. From the survey results, we've narrowed down the list of recommendations to a year-long celebration.
