Discussion regarding the membrane supplier options for the Surface Water Treatment Plant Expansion.
Summary
As the Surface Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project continues to move forward, City staff have worked with the design consultant to move the membrane procurement process forward. As this project will require prospective membrane suppliers to retrofit their product into the existing basins to control total project costs, we are limited to certain suppliers that are equipped to provide submerged membranes within the existing facility. The design consultant and City staff have requested Statements of Qualifications from prospective membrane suppliers and have confirmed that those suppliers that have submitted their Statements of Qualification are valid and would be able to meet all regulatory requirements set forth for drinking water supply. This discussion is tailored to present those supplier options and discuss the vetting process of the suppliers that are qualified to submit bids on this project and to give an overview of the qualification process before formal action will be requested from City Council at a future meeting.
