Summary
The City of Hutto is applying for a planning grant from the Texas Water Development Board for a Regional Wastewater Planning Study. The City of Hutto has requested participation from surrounding communities, utility districts, the Hutto Independent School District, Economic Development Board, Chamber of Commerce and Williamson County. This grant provides for 50% matching funds, including in-kind services. By participating in the study, the City of Pflugerville will become a stakeholder and have the opportunity to be part of infrastructure discussions, review the draft report and provide input throughout the process.
Deadline for City Council Action
Action is requested on December 14, 2010. The City of Hutto's deadline for the application is December 20, 2010 and they have requested consideration for support to be included in their application package and therefore must be approved at this meeting.
Fiscal Impact
There is no direct fiscal impact. The in-kind contribution not to exceed $5,000 will consist of City of Pflugerville staff time used to contribute to the process of this planning study.
