Discuss re-launch of Adopt-A-Trail Program.
Summary
The Parks and Recreation Department has performed a thorough review of the Adopt -A- Trail program and would like to re-launch the program with many modifications. Staff recommends a new application process to include complete program information. Additionally staff recommends the removal of all existing Adopt -A-Trail signs from the trail system, to be replaced with new program participant signs. Existing signs wouldn’t be removed until May. A program tracking system will be put in place. Participants will be asked to complete both a Trail Inspection Report and an Adopt -A- Trail Clean up Report at the conclusion of each clean up event. Program information and lists of both adopted trail sections and trail sections available to be adopted will be Included with all program information and posted on the Parks and Recreation Department’s homepage.
