Title
Approving the selection of K. Friese & Associates, Inc. for professional engineering services associated with design, bidding and construction administration of the Pfennig Lane Widening Project and authorizing the City Manager to enter into negotiations regarding a scope of work and fee proposal.

Summary
The City of Pflugerville solicited requests for qualifications from engineering firms to perform design services, bidding and construction administration for the Pfennig Lane Widening Project.
This project will widen Pfennig Lane from Rocky Creek Drive to Justice Center Drive. The project will incorporate sidewalks on one side of the road, curb and gutter and mitigation of the horizontal curve. Preparation of the final engineering construction documents shall include but not be limited to: project design, topographic surveys where required, geotechnical investigation, environmental assessment and environmental clearances, identification of utility conflicts, required utility adjustments and replacements, coordination with utility companies, determination of ROW/easement acquisition, preparation of ROW/easement acquisition metes/bounds and sketch, preliminary and final engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost, project manual and any other items necessary to successfully construct this project.
This project will be designed in accordance with the City of Pflugerville’s 2014 Edition of the Uniform Development Code and 2014 Edition of the Engineering Design Guidelines & Construction Manual.
Status
City staff received twelve (12) proposals. A review team made up of Engineering Department Staff reviewed and scored the proposals. It was determined to initially review all proposals to create a short list. After the initial grading, an additional review was conducted on all short listed firms relative to each City Bond project presented in the SOQ. K. Friese & Associates, Inc. was selected the most qualified firm for the Pfennig Lane Widening project...
