Summary
This item is included on the agenda to allow discussion of the topic. The City Council is expected to retire to an executive session to discuss the item regarding economic development negotiations, pursuant to Chapter 551.087 of the Texas Government Code.
Project Berlin is an initiative outlined in CEDS 3.0 and continues to support the city’s future growth. Project Berlin is a Standard Performance Agreement pursuant to Tex. Loc. Gov’t Code § 501.158. Under the terms of the agreement, the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) will provide up to $128,262.00 in direct financial incentives in exchange for the business committing to a total capital investment of $1,830,000.00 and the creation/retention of two (2) full-time equivalent jobs over one (1) year. The agreement includes mandatory claw back provisions pursuant to state law if performance metrics are not met.
The PCDC Board approved this item in a Special Called Meeting on September 10, 2026.
