Summary
This resolution authorizes the City Manager to apply for and accept, if awarded, a Fiscal Year 2023 Bullet-Resistant Shield Grant award from the Office of the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division in the amount of $54,000.00 for the funding to purchase sixteen (16) bullet-resistant shields for the use of responding to active shooter threat incidents. There is no funding match for this grant from the City. Approval is also requested to authorize the City Manager to sign all necessary documents upon final approval of the City Attorney and to purchase the shields once awarded.
