Summary
The Wilbarger Creek Wastewater Interceptor Project requires property acquisition, including the acquisition of a temporary construction easement and permanent easement necessary to construct the project. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with Fortune Land Investments, LLC., for the necessary temporary construction easement and public utility easement for Parcel No.14. The cost of $318,349.00 was agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on appraisals obtained by the City. This item supports the sustainable structure pillar of the City’s Strategic Plan.
Easement acquisitions for the Wilbarger Creek Wastewater Interceptor Project include a total of thirteen (13) easements within 6 parcels.
Staff continues bi-weekly coordination meetings with the property acquisition agent, in addition to hosting monthly Utility coordination meetings with the utility providers for the Wilbarger Creek Wastewater Interceptor Project.
Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute the temporary construction easement, permanent easement, and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.
