Summary
The City of Pflugerville was recognized with a national communications award on Thursday, September 5 at the City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) Savvy Awards banquet in Scottsdale, Arizona. This is the first time Pflugerville has submitted a project for this national award and we were honored to have Pflugerville's work recognized as Savvy. The first place award highlights our efforts to provide quality communications to our residents. The public service announcement (PSA) was recognized due to its efforts to not only inform the public about upcoming city events and happenings, but to also promote the information sources that residents may choose from to stay informed on city news. Judges said the outstanding statements of goals and achievements, lively pacing to the video piece with great music and nice use of resident testimonials made this entry Savvy. The PSA received second-place recognition from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers in 2012. This is Pflugerville's first Savvy award.
