Summary
This resolution establishes the fees associated with the permits and inspections required by the proposed Public Swimming Pool ordinance.
The city of Pflugerville contracted with Bureau Veritas to review plans and inspect the food establishments in the city in late 2012. The same process will be used with the Swimming Pool Ordinance. City staff will administer the ordinance by issuing the permits and Bureau Veritas will conduct the inspections and plan reviews for new construction.
The permit fee of $200.00 charged by Bureau Veritas is identical to the fee charged by the Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services Department, the entity responsible for permitting public pools in the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). The permit fee includes an initial inspection and a follow up inspection if necessary.
Upon approval, these fees will be included in the Development Services Center Development Handbook.
Deadline for City Council Action
Action for this agenda item is requested in conjunction with the proposed Public Swimming Pool ordinance, ORD-0146, which is included on this consent agenda.
Fiscal Impact
There is no fiscal impact associated with this resolution as the revenue received equals the expense of administering the program.
