Summary
The City of Pflugerville staff solicited sealed bids for the hauling of dewatered sludge from the Central Wastewater Plant after our current contract expired. Advertisements were placed in the Pflugerville Pflag for two consecutive weeks and notice of the bid was on the City's website for the duration. A mandatory pre-bid was conducted for this contract for all potential bidders to evaluate the site and determine their most cost-effective approach to hauling the dewatered sludge.
Wastewater Transport Services (formerly Sheridan Environmental) has been the contractor for the City of Pflugerville for dewatered sludge hauling since 2011 and we have had a great working relationship with them as our dewatered sludge hauling company. Wastewater Transport Services was the low bidder of two (2) bids at $850 per 20 cubic yard roll off container for an estimated annual cost of $595,000.
