Summary
The professional services supplemental amendment being considered provides for a continuation of professional services beyond the preliminary design phase for work efforts during the design and bid phases of the project. This agenda item supports the infrastructure pillar of the Strategic Plan.
In July 2022, City Council approved selection of Walker Partners, LLC to provide professional engineering services for the 27-inch Kelly Lane Wastewater Interceptor Project to improve reliability of existing infrastructure and meet future sewer needs.
Walker Partners LLC is performing preliminary design services including alignment evaluations, selection and developing a Technical Memorandum; alignment confirmation and development of the Basis of Design Report for utilization in future design development. Supplemental Services if authorized may include subsurface utility engineering investigation, lift station plans, development of engineering feasibility report and environmental documents required by funding agencies.
The engineer’s scope of work included in this supplemental agreement includes surveying, geotechnical engineering and environmental site assessment services, design and bid phase services and evaluation of bid proposals including recommendation for construction contract award.
Prior City Council Action
City Council approved a professional services agreement with Walker Partners, LLC in the amount of $860,343.00 associated with 27-inch Kelly Lane Wastewater Interceptor Project, at the July 26, 2022, meeting.
Deadline for City Council Action
Action is required on October 8, 2024, to proceed with design and bidding phases.
