Summary
This Professional Services Agreement (PSA) is to perform water and wastewater system operations and maintenance services for Lakeside Municipal Utility District (MUD) # 5 similar to how the City currently operates and maintains the other Lakeside districts in the City’s ETJ. This PSA has been modified to reflect updates requested by the City and the City’s legal team after recent discussions with City Council and the other districts the City operates.
Lakeside MUD # 5 has adopted the City’s updated rates and fees to reflect the most recent updates that were passed and enacted in December 2022 and the enacted rate order is attached. This agreement will last for 3 years and will be eligible for renewal in 2026 if the City wishes to continue providing this service to Lakeside MUD # 5. This PSA is also to be in compliance with the Lakeside MUD # 5 Comprehensive Development Agreement originally executed in 2004 that states that the District and the City will negotiate a Professional Services Agreement for the City to operate and maintain the water and wastewater system.
