Discuss and consider action to approve a resolution nominating a candidate for the Board of Directors of the Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD).
Summary
Members of the Board of Directors of the Travis Central Appraisal District serve two year, staggered terms. The term of the current Board member representing the eastern part of the county and the Pflugerville area will expire this year. The election of members to the Board will be conducted in fall for the term beginning January 1, 2024. The City of Pflugerville may make a nomination to the Travis Central Appraisal District Board of Directors in the form of a resolution. After nominations have been submitted the Chief Appraiser will prepare a ballot listing all the candidates to the presiding officer of the governing body of each city and school district in eastern Travis County. The ballot must be returned to the Chief Appraiser by December 15, 2023.
Elizabeth Montoya is currently serving on the board and has stated she is willing to continue.
