Summary
The City of Pflugerville staff solicited sealed bids for the purchase of Clarifloc C-6232 polymer for the wastewater treatment plant. Advertisements were placed in the Pflugerville Pflag for two consecutive weeks; notice of the bid was on the City's website for the duration of the bidding process; and Texas Bid System was used to engage additional vendor interest. The CIty received one bid for this chemical.
Wastewater staff has checked references. Finance staff verified all information regarding insurance requirements. The City Attorney has reviewed all contract documents. The bid document is attached to this agenda item.

Action is requested on May 28, 2013. The bidder was notified that this item would be considered at this meeting.
Fiscal Impact
The budget for wastewater treatment chemicals is included in the wastewater treatment plant department in the chemical line item.
Staff Recommendation
Authorize the City Manager to execute a one year contract, with the possibility of two annual renewals, to Polydyne Inc. in the amount of $8.514 per gallon for Clarifloc C-6232 Polymer.
