Authorizing the City Manager to execute an Amendment to the Facility Use Agreement with Pflugfun Watercraft Rentals for the Kayak/Canoe Rental Concession at Lake Pflugerville.
Summary/Status
An amendment to the rental concession agreement with the Pflugfun Watercraft Rentals and proprietor, Mr. Randy Martin, is proposed. The amendment will allow for a continuation of the 2013 agreement that included the option for two one-year extensions for a total of three years. The amendment allows the extension of the agreement for one year with the option of two additional one year extensions with the mutual consent of the City and Mr. Martin. There are no other changes to the original agreement proposed with this amendment.
The Pflugfun Kayak/Canoe Rental Concession began operations at Lake Pflugerville on June 5, 2010. The agreement allows the operation of the concession from March through October and establishes the percentage of gross revenue that the City receives at 15%.
This amendment has been approved as to form by the City Attorney.
Deadline for City Council Action
Approving this item at this time allows adequate time for Mr. Martin to prepare to open the business in March.
Fiscal Impact
There is no cost to the City. The FY15 revenue was $1,209.15.
