Summary
The Pflugerville Public Library has received the 2015 Achievement of Library Excellence Award from the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association. Of the 556 public library systems in the State of Texas, only 41 received the 2015 award. The Pflugerville Public Library has demonstrated excellence in all ten areas required to qualify for this award. The ten areas include: providing services to underserved populations; providing literary and other services to all ages; collaborating with other agencies; current marketing efforts include the use of various methods of social media; and, encouraging staff training and continuing education. This is the fourth time that the Pflugerville Public Library has received this award on the behalf of the City of Pflugerville
