Conduct introductions and take action to make appointments to the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) Board of Directors for Place 1, Place 3, Place 5, and Place 7 for two-year terms beginning January 1, 2024.

Summary
The following terms are ending on the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) Board of Directors on December 31, 2023:
Place 1: Victor Gonzales
Place 3: Dennis Spencer
Place 5: Jonathan Kamenicky
Place 7: Samantha Pisik
Applications for appointment have been received from Sarah Burkhart, Victor To, Samantha Pisik, Oscar Mitchell, Anita Husen and Jeffrey Thompson and David Darelle White


Place 4 (term ending December 31, 2024): Doug Weiss
Mayor Pro Tem Weiss was appointed on July 25, 2023 with a motion appointing him to Place 4 until the end of 2023.

Applications will be provided to the City Council separate from the agenda.

The City Council approved amended bylaws for the PCDC on November 24, 2020. These bylaws provide that not more than two of the directors shall be employees or officers of the City of Pflugerville or members of the City Council. Councilmember Jim McDonald currently serves on the PCDC Board of Directors.

Each member of the Board shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council for a term of two years. Each director shall be a resident of the City and is entitled to one vote upon the business of the Corporation. Please find the bylaws attached. The articles of incorporation provide that each director must be a resident of the City and that not more than two of the directors shall be employees or officers of the City of Pflugerville. The resolution is attached providing this amendment to the articles of incorporation. The original articles of incorporation provide that each director must be a qualified voter of the city. The resolution is attached which includes the original articles of incorporation.
