Review representation and discuss and consider action to appoint three representatives to the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) General Assembly.
Summary
The City of Pflugerville is over 50,000 in population and therefore qualifies for three positions on the CAPCOG General Assembly. Doug Weiss, Jim McDonald, and Ceasar Ruiz were most recently appointed to serve on the General Assembly as the City of Pflugerville's representatives. This item has been included on the agenda to allow the City Council to review its representation and take action to change representation.
The General Assembly meets at least twice per year. The next meeting of the CAPCOG General Assembly will take place on December 11, 2024 at 10am.
Only members of the CAPCOG General Assembly can be appointed to the CAPCOG Executive Committee. Doug Weiss currently services on the CAPCOG Executive Committee. The appointments to the CAPCOG Executive Committee are made by CAPCOG.
