Summary
The Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Department Pfun Campers are having a blast this summer taking field trips around central Texas, playing in city parks and pools, and volunteering in the community.
While learning valuable life lessons of community service and work skills, the campers help at the Pfarmers Market during setup and have visited the Animal Shelter delivering homemade dog treats and reading to the cats and dogs during their stay. In addition, the campers enjoy field trips and camp activities.
This is the first year that the Parks and Recreation Department has added a community service initiative to summer camp and will continue to offer opportunities in future years.
