Authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with S&B Infrastructure, LTD in the amount of $49,727.07 for professional engineering services associated with design, bidding, and construction administration of the Gilleland Creek Trail Project.
Summary
The Gilleland Creek Trail project consists of 0.56 miles of trail which closes an existing gap along a very scenic vista of Gilleland Creek which runs through the heart of the City of Pflugerville.
Preparation of the engineering construction documents shall include but not be limited to: project design, topographic surveys, geotechnical investigation, environmental assessment and environmental clearances, Phase I Archaeological Survey including subsurface testing and clearances through the Texas Historical Commission, identification of utility conflicts, required utility adjustments and replacements, coordination with utility companies, determination of ROW/easement acquisition, preparation of ROW/easement acquisition metes/bounds and sketch, preliminary and final engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost, project manual and any other items necessary to successfully construct this project.
This project will be designed in accordance with the City of Pflugerville’s 2011 Edition of the Uniform Development Code and May 2005 Edition of the Engineering Design Guidelines & Construction Standards. The attached agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the City Attorney.
Status
S&B Infrastructure, LTD was selected as the most qualified firm for a planned sidewalk project at SH 130/ Pflugerville Parkway on October 22, 2013. The SH 130/Pflugerville Parkway project has been canceled. Since the Gilleland Creek Trail work is comparable, staff began negotiations with S&B Infrastructure, LTD regarding a schedule and fee for the Gilleland Creek Trail project following cancellation of the original project.
