Approving a resolution for athletic field lighting for IDEA School, located at 1901 E Wells Branch Pkwy.
Summary
The IDEA School of Pflugerville is located at 1901 E Wells Branch Pkwy. The IDEA School Board have requested four (4) new athletic field lighting poles be installed along the east and west side of their existing soccer field in order to utilize the field for practices and competions during evening hours.
The height of the light fixtures are proposed to the maximum 60ft height. The light fixtures are controlled by an on-site control switch and are programmed to turn off by 10pm through a web enabled time device. The proposed lighting will comply with the illumination levels outlined in Subchapter 13 of the Unified Development Code.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval to allow the requested four (4) new athletic field lighting poles for IDEA School with the following conditions:
1. Only four (4) poles shall be installed as shown on the proposed site plan, equipment layout and illumination summary included with the application.
2. The proposed lighting shall be as provided in the application and subject to the conditions and minimum requirements outlined in the Unified Development Code.

Consider the request on April 28, 2020. There is no specific deadline for approval.
