Approving a professional services supplemental agreement with Pape-Dawson Consulting Engineers, LLC in the amount of $281,631 for the New Sweden Lift Station and Force Main project, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

Summary
Based on the 2023 Water and Wastewater Master Plan Update, the New Sweden Lift Station and Force Main (WW2503) is needed to convey sanitary sewer flow(s) to serve growth in the Cottonwood West basin. This project will be included in the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) funding.

The New Sweden Lift Station and Force Main is designed to accept and convey sanitary sewer flow(s) from the New Sweden MUD No.1, No.2 and No.3 in the Cottonwood West basin. The proposed lift station site is located east of the intersection of FM 973 and New Sweden Church Road, along the northside of New Sweden Church Road. The lift station is being designed as a regional lift station, with an initial 1.89 million gallons per day (MGD) firm capacity and the capacity to accommodate a total of 4 MGD wastewater flow at full build out as requested by the City of Pflugerville.

Pape-Dawson Consulting Engineers, LLC (Pape-Dawson) was selected to complete the work for this project. Pape-Dawson will provide additional design and construction phase services to support the next phase of this project, including Project Management, Design and Development of construction plans, Permitting, Special Services to support this effort including Environmental Evaluation to meet federal requirements, and Bidding and Award Phase Services as well as Construction Phase Services including Construction Material Testing and Construction Management.

This project supports the Residential and Node Development and Business Development Pillars of the Strategic Plan.
