Approving the Planning and Development Services FY24 proposed fee adjustments.
Summary
As part of the FY24 budget, departments have been asked to take forward any proposed fees to their respective boards and commissions for consideration. This is a new process with this budget year and will ensure any fee changes have been reviewed and approved prior to being considered by City Council within the budget. The Planning and Development Services Department has added a fee to processes that previously did not have a fee, adjust current fees that require considerable staff and legal reviews, or to address adjustments based on the type of reviews. In addition, adjustments to text in the current fee schedule is needed to correct inadvertent typographical errors.
The proposed fee schedule adjustments will be integrated into the master fee schedule which will be approved with the FY24 budget.
Prior Action
New or adjusted fees previously were previously considered by the Finance Advisory Board. The policy has shifted and now boards and commissions will approve proposed adjustments.
Deadline for Action
July 17, 2023 to be included into the fee schedule and budget that will be considered by City Council in August.
Fiscal Impact
Adjustments to the fee schedule will ensure processes that previously did not have a fee are accounted for.
