Approving Change Order Number One for the Pflugerville Community Library Expansion and Renovation Project in the amount of $236,695.91.
Summary
An itemized summary of the costs associated with the change order is attached, as is an explanation of the circumstances that contributed to the need to include it in the project. Collaborative efforts of the project team and the owners' project representative minimized the expense associated with each of the items to insure costs and warrants were justified. Thirteen Requests for Proposal (RFPs) were approved, one of which was a reduction in cost. The thirteen RFPS are accumulated in Change Order Number One. If approved, the new contract amount will be $4,275,435.91, representing a 5.87 percent increase to the original construction contract.
Status
The expansion and renovation of the Pflugerville Community Library is well underway. The structure has been erected and the current efforts revolve around enclosing the space. The project remains on schedule for completion by April 13, 2013.
Prior City Council Action
The construction contract was awarded to Lee Lewis Construction on December 9, 2011 in the amount of $4,038,740.

Fiscal Impact
There is no fiscal impact to the operating budget as a result of this item. The project remains within budget of the funds allocated to this project.
