Title
Approving a resolution of support for projects to be considered for a proposed Williamson County Bond Election.

Summary
In March 2023, the Williamson County Commissioners established a Citizens Bond Committee to evaluate future needs for county roads and parks in consideration of a bond election in November 2023. The County has recommended all municipalities within Williamson County to submit their top three projects for roadways and trails for consideration. While Pflugerville has very little of Williamson County in the city limits, Precinct 4 is located along the northern extent of the Pflugerville jurisdiction, and includes the intersection of FM 685 and Gattis Crossing/CR 138 as well as the intersection of Derby Day and Gattis Crossing/CR 138. Both intersections are located within the Pflugerville Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) and are predominantly reliant on Williamson County for improvement. Precinct 4 also contains the Williamson County Southeast Loop which segment one is currently under construction just east of the Dana Drive and CR 138/Gattis School intersection.

The proposed resolution recommends Williamson County consider capacity and safety improvements along Gattis Crossing/CR 138, the intersection of Gattis Crossing/CR 138 and FM 685, and the intersection of Gattis Crossing/CR 138 and Derby Day. These projects were selected as the top three as they are located within the Pflugerville ETJ and establishing capacity and safety improvements along Gattis Crossing/CR 138 including at the FM 685 and Derby Day intersections will improve the health, safety, and general welfare of the community and region. If the resolution is approved, a project request form will be submitted via email to the Williamson County Citizens Bond Committee along with a copy of the approved resolution by April 28, 2023.
