Title

Approving a resolution confirming the granting of consent to the creation of Travis County Municipal Utility District No. 23, a political subdivision to be situated within the corporate limits of the City of Pflugerville, Texas.

 

Summary

Travis County Municipal Utility District No. 23 (MUD 23), also known as Carmel West, is  consists of approximately 443.692 acres located just east of Weiss Lane and north of Pecan Street within the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction.  In October 2015 the City Council consented to the creation of MUD, at that time named MUD 22, upon petition of the land owner, CE Development.  Upon annexation of the property, anticipated in late February, the MUD will be considered an in city MUD.  The resolution ratifies the Council's action in the fall of 2015 to consent to the MUD, and renames/renumbers it as Travis County Municipal Utility District No. 23 which is required for the creation of the MUD to proceed with application to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

 

Prior City Council Action

October 13, 2015 - Council approved a development agreement for Carmel Development.

October 27, 2015 - City Council approved the consent agreements allowing for the creation of the MUDs.
