Summary
The attached resolution orders the City of Pflugerville’s General Election for May 14, 2011, for the election of Councilmembers for Place 2 and Place 4. Early voting and Election Day voting locations are still being determined at this time. The proposed early voting and Election Day voting locations have been included in Attachment A and are subject to change. An election calendar of dates of common interest is attached. The agenda which was posted in Spanish is also attached.

Fiscal Impact
Most of the costs associated with the election are related to the number and size of the other entities participating. At this time, the list of participating entities is not set and a firm cost estimate is not available. An increase in the cost for publication of the election notice is expected due to new legislation requiring the notice to contain the locations of the main and branch early voting polling places. $13,000 for election expenses is included in the FY 2011 Budget.
