Summary
The initial board of directors of Reinvestment Zone One was appointed on July 26, 2011. To allow for the staggering of terms, Positions 2 and 4 were appointed for partial terms ending December 14, 2011. All directors of Reinvestment Zone One are appointed by the Mayor with the consent and approval of the City Council. Mayor Coleman has recommended the reappointment of Mr. Beyer and Mr. Dwyer to their respective positions on the board of directors. A resolution is attached providing for the appointments.
Prior City Council Action
At their regular meeting on July 26, 2011, the City Council approved the recommendations of the Mayor and appointed the initial board of directors of Reinvestment Zone No. One. The appointments were as follows: Position 1: Mr. Mike Marsh; Position 2: Mr. Beyer; Position 3: Mr. Scott Johnson; Position 4: Mr. Dwyer; Position 5: Mr. Scott Williams. Position 1 was designated to serve as Chair and all positions were to serve two year terms, with Positions 2 and 4 to serve partial terms ending December 14, 2011.
