Title
Approving a Professional Service Agreement with Collier Consulting in the amount of $89,876.40 for professional engineering services associated with the Well 6 Water Supply Evaluation Project, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
This Professional Services Agreement (PSA) is to perform preliminary engineering services to evaluate the ability for the City to expand the groundwater supplies that we have at Well # 6 that is located off of Glen Rose Chase Drive. The preliminary engineering will evaluate the feasibility to expand the groundwater well to become more drought-resistant and able to provide a more firm capacity in future years. The evaluation will be to produce a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for feasibility of the project and to provide construction costs if necessary. As Well # 6 is a very large production well, by making the well more drought-resistant, it allows for the City’s water supplies to be more robust during long drought seasons and minimizes the reliance on the surface water supplies from LCRA. This item was included within the Utility Administration budget and is labeled as “Well 6 Expansion Water Evaluation.”
