Approving a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an interlocal cooperation agreement with the Pace Purchasing Cooperative.
Summary
City staff has been purchasing software licenses from SHI Government Solutions for a number of years because they provide pricing for governmental entities. On a recent purchase order for Adobe Acrobat licenses, the SHI contact recommended we join the PACE purchasing cooperative in order to receive an even lower price than the City would be able to procure elsewhere. Staff investigated other purchasing options available through PACE and found that they provide a wide array of products and services that would make the cooperative useful as another purchasing source for the City. The City Attorney has reviewed the interlocal agreement.
Deadline for City Council Action
The agreement needs to be completed and returned by December 31, 2012, to obtain the pricing for this order.
Fiscal Impact
There is no membership fee required. Savings will be realized on this purchase and possible future purchases.
