Approving a resolution for an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Austin for the administration of the Next Generation 9-1-1 Database Program for the purposes of providing addressing within the City of Pflugerville and the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) in Travis County and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
 
Summary
The purpose of this item is to request the City Council to authorize the City Manager to execute an interlocal agreement with the City of Austin for the purpose of the City of Pflugerville assigning addresses to properties within the city limits of Pflugerville as well as the ETJ in Travis County.  Attached is a copy of the interlocal agreement which specifies the roles of both the City of Pflugerville and the City of Austin for coordination and assignment of addresses to properties within the City of Pflugerville's city limits and ETJ limits in Travis County.  
 
Status
The Planning and Legal Departments for the City of Pflugerville and the City of Austin have reviewed and approved the language in the interlocal agreement.  
 
Deadline for City Council Action
None
 
Fiscal Impact
The City of Pflugerville will utilize existing staff to implement this agreement and carry out the duties required by this agreement.
 
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends City Council approval for authorization of the City Manager to execute the interlocal agreement.
